The National Capital Territory of Delhi on August 07, 2026, issued the Delhi Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Repeal) Bill, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The National Capital Territory of Delhi (Incredible India) Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2007, along with its Amendment Acts of 2010 and 2021, is repealed.
•Actions, registrations, certificates, approvals and proceedings under the repealed Acts will continue to be recognised, subject to consistency with the new Act.
•Existing rights, liabilities, obligations, investigations and legal proceedings will remain unaffected, with Section 6 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 applicable to the repeal.
•The Government intends to replace the existing statutory framework with a more liberal executive policy, while fresh registrations and pending applications remain in abeyance during the transition.
It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
